Our Training Profile

This course will lead the candidates to become the Captain of the ship. On successful completion of this pre-sea training, the candidates are eligible to become nautical Deck Cadets on board a ship. With further sea service & exams, they will be promoted to Chief Officer and then becoming Captain of the ship.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification :

• Pass in (10+2) from a recognized board with 55% average in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
• 50% Marks in English either 10th or 12th.

Medical Fitness :

• Eyesight –No Color Blindness, 6/6 Vision in each eye. No Eye Glasses permitted.

Age Limit : Maximum 25 years.

1. AFTER OBTAINING B.Sc.  NAUTICAL SCIENCE COURSE JOINING AS OFFICER TRAINEE CADET ( ON STIPEND 250 $ – 300$)

3. OBTAIN 2nd MATE (FOREIGN GOING) COMPETENCY CERTIFICATE
4. PROMOTED AS 2ND  OFFICER (SALARY 2500 USD)
5. AFTER FURTHER SEA EXPERIENCE & PASSING CHIEF MATE EXAM
6. PROMOTED AS CHIEF OFFICER (SALARY 5500 USD)
7. ORAL EXAMINATION OBTAIN MASTER’S COMPETENCY CERTIFICATE
8. PROMOTED AS CAPTAIN (SALARY 7000-8000 USD)

This is a two year Pre-sea training course for Diploma Holders (DME) leading to Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of competency, awarded by the Directorate General of Shipping (Government of India), after six months of sea service, enabling the cadets to become Marine Engineers on board Merchant Naval ships anywhere in the world. This course is strictly residential.

Eligibility Criteria 

Educational qualifications:

• Candidate should Possess Diploma in Mechanical/Marine/Naval Architecture/Electrical/Electric & Electronics Engineering with minimum of 50% in Final Year
• Minimum 50% marks in English at 10th or 12th Standard or diploma courses.

OR

• Passed Diploma in Ship Building engineering with minimum marks of 50% in Final year (4 year Course)
• Minimum of 50% in English at 10th or 12th or Diploma Exam college must have AICTE or UGC approval.

Medical Fitness :

• Eyesight -Candidates have to qualify a full eyesight test conducted by the DG Shipping approved medical doctor before being finally selected for the course.
• Maximum permissible tolerance is + 2.5 on each eye.
• Colour blindness candidates are not eligible.

Age limit: Maximum 28 years of age at the time of commencement of the course.

Course Commences: March/September of every year.

5. OBTAIN MEO CL-IV CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY
6. 12 MONTHS APPROVED SEA SERVICE AS MEO CL-IV ENGINEERING OFFICER IN CHARGE OF AN ENGINEERING WATCH
7. OBTAIN CLASS II MARINE ENGINEERING OFFICER CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY (DME TO APPEAR FOR PART A)
8. 18 MONTHS APPROVED SEA SERVICE AS MEO CL –II OFFICER IN CHARGE OF AN ENGINEERING WATCH
9. OBTAIN CLASS I MARINE ENGINEERING OFFICER CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY
10. PROMOTED TO CHIEF ENGINEERING OFFICER.

The one year Pre-sea Training course for Graduates (GME) is a course leading to Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of competency, awarded by the ministry of shipping Government of India, after six months of sea service, enabling the cadets to become Marine Engineers on board Merchant Naval ships anywhere in the world. This course is strictly residential programme, where the cadets undergo theoretical classes with demonstration in well equipped laboratories and six months
(Ship in Campus) training.

• B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture from a college recognized by AICTE with 60% marks in final year,
• 50% in English in 10 th / +2 / Degree or Diploma.

4.  Obtain DGS Class IV Part B Examination
5. 12 Months Sea Service as 4th or 3rd Engineer ( Salary USD 2000 – 2500)
6. 4 Months Preparatory Course
7.  Obtain DGS Class II Examination
8. 18 Months Sea Service as 2nd Engineer (Salary USD 5200 – 5500)
9. After 2 Months Preparatory Course , Obtain DGS Class I Examination
10. PROMOTED TO CHIEF ENGINEER (Salary USD 7000 – 8000)

Certificate in Nautical Science (DNS) Leading to BSc. Nautical Science 

The one Year DNS Course is a course prompting B.Sc., Nautical Science following year and a half of ocean benefit and furthermore prompting second Mate Foreign going Ceritificate of competency granted by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, empowering the cadets to end up Navigating officers on board Merchant Naval Ships anyplace on the planet. The one year Diploma in Nautical Science Course is entirely private.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Candidate should have Passed in HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less then 55%.
• 50% Marks in English either 10th or 12th.
• Candidate possessing B.Sc. Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the year, with an average of not less than 55% of marks in the final year
• Candidate possessing B.E./B. Tech. Degree from I.I.T or from a college recognized by AICTE

Medical Fitness :

• Eyesight – Candidates have to Qualify a full eyesight test conducted by the MMD before being finally selected for the course.
• They should have 6/6 in each eye without visual aids and should be free from colour blindness.

Age Limit – 17 1/2  to  25 years of age as on 1st of January or 1st of August.

3. 18 Months Sea Service & DLP by University &  Passing 2nd Mate Exam

7. After Further Sea Dervices & Passing Oral examination Obtain Master’s COC

The Duration of the course is 6 months. On successful completion of this course, the candidates will be eligible to join in Indian/Foreign Shipping companies as a Deck/Engine crew. With further sea service, they would be promoted as Motorman/Oil man, Fitter, Deck serang, Able-Bodied Seamen, Bosun. They can also be promoted to officer level with certain service and qualification requirements on passing the examinations conducted by DGS.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification :

• Pass in 10^th Std. with 40% average marks from a recognized board with Maths, Science & English as compulsory subjects.
• Candidate should have obtained 40% marks in English subject either in 10^th std (or) 12^th std (or) any degree (or) diploma level.

OR

• Pass in 2year I.T.I. course from Govt. approved institute with minimum 50% aggregate marks in final year. (40% in English in 10^th Std.)

Medical Fitness :

•  Medically fit as per the standards set by M. S. Medical Examination Rules, 2000.
•  Candidate should have 6/6 in each eye without visual aids and should be free from colour blindness .

Age Limit :

Age not more than 25 yrs. & not less than 17 ½ yrs. on the date of commencement of training.
